Chapter Four
{Corporate Vision}
From an Open Heavens to
A Progressive Vision
We begin this chapter with the following important scripture selection…
I will stand upon my watch,
and will be set upon {be positioned} the tower, and will watch
{As well as pray} what he
will say to me, and shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me
and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run
that reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall
speak and not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; it will surely come, it will
not tarry. Habakkuk 2:1-3
Ever notice how many saints quote this section of scriptures? When
doing so, most begin with writing the vision. However, Habakkuk positioned himself
first to hear what the Lord would say unto him, even to the point of being
reproved. So what’s the big deal Tim? Well, here it is!
Unlike many ministries today that give audience and attention to God
for special requested favors, Habakkuk was ready to be reproved by God instead
of many that only want approval. For there is a distinct two-fold approach to
consider here, as one wants to be approved in all of his doings, as the other
desires to be reproved before approved. Now, being reproved is not to suggest a
lack of confidence in the Almighty God, nor does it suggest we are to approach
the Father as if he is some unjust judge. Rather, the principle of reproving is
the matter of the heart being purified for righteous methods, motives, and mentalities. Habakkuk,
having every confidence that God will answer him accordingly, was not fearful
of being browbeaten. Instead, he postured himself in the position of humility
before the majesty of a faithful God who judges righteously. Unlike many that
come into the presence of God irreverently, Habakkuk decided up front to get in
the place where God can correct and admonish him where needed.
For the word “reprove” in verse one is defined as “chastisement,
refutation, correction, and rebuke.” In Habakkuk’s heart, he would that God
correct him from the start in any way needed, if he is to carry out the vision
plan of the heavenly Father. For chastisement is not a bad word.
According to scripture, the Lord is the one that chastens those whom he
loves.
For whom the Lord loves he chastens,
and scourges every son whom he receives. If you endure chastening, God deals
with you as sons: for what son is he whom the father chastens not? But if you
be without chastisement, whereof al are partakers, then are you bastards, and
not sons. Hebrews 12:6-8
68
When you think about it, many have begun their visions without
considering whether or not it was the Spirit of the Lord that birthed the
vision in the first place. Especially in the United States of America, the
spirit of competition and gift-suspicion is so commonplace, that many begin
ministries out of a whim, and out of a hat {grin}. Popping up all over the
country are new and emerging ministries, many of which were never commissioned
by the Lord.
Therefore, we must consider the position of Habakkuk, for he stood
ready to be reproved and approved by the Lord. Both are essential in the
birthing of a vision. Notice below…
For who has known the mind
of the Lord, that we may instruct him? {Well, no one!} But we have the mind of
Christ. 1st Corinthians 2:16
But now, O Lord, you are our
father, and we are the clay. And you our potter and we all are the work of your
hand. Isaiah 64:8
Vision
A true vision comes from the Spirit of the Lord. According to Joel
2:28, God pours out of his Spirit upon all, and the result is that people will
prophesy, dream dreams, and see visions. Now, these are but three important
characteristics of God’s outpour upon the earth. Note below…
1 - sons and daughters shall prophesy – {naba – to prophesy, speak, or sing by
inspiration}
1-
old men shall dream dreams {expiration,
going off the scene – passing the baton to another}
2-
young men shall see visions {inspiration,
coming on the scene, a new breed of visionaries}
In the scriptures there are basically three kinds of vision.
1 – Dreams
- Genesis 28:12: Acts 2:17 – something seen in the sleep: a vision in a
dream
2 – Visions – a sight, dream, oracle,
revelation, an appearance, gaze, perceive, and contemplate
3 – Trances – displacement of the mind, to stand
{put} out of wits, ecstasy, and astonishment {Acts 10:10}
A dream is but one part of the visionary development of the saints.
Dreams are usually experienced upon the bed at rest. Like Jacob, his dream
became a revelation, a vision of destiny. This means that our dreams too, can
contain a revelation, even a word of wisdom from the Lord. For it is one thing
to dream a dream, but it takes the revelation of the Spirit to interpret or
unlock the dream from obscurity to clarity. This is where
the revelation gifts of 1st Corinthians
14 come into play. For the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and
the discerning of spirits can all accompany a dream-vision if God permits. Not
forgetting, unbelievers at times may dream a dream that requires interpretation
or revelation of the Spirit. Even Nebuchadnezzar had both a dream and a vision
upon his bed at night. Such demands expression of revelation through God’s
prophetic company, namely the Joseph-Daniel Company. Daniel 2nd
chapter: Genesis 41
A Trance is far less recorded in scripture than visions and dreams.
Nevertheless, a trance is a real experience, though viewed mostly from those
with worldly spiritualistic values.
A vision is something more than a dream, and is not confined to
physical retirement or bedtime. Though a number of dreams do possess a vision
within it, a vision can be distinct in that it possesses a different level of
appearance and perception. A divine bestowing of visions, like many God-given
dreams, regards the necessity of interpretation when needed.
69
According to Joel 2:28, the Spirit of God endows his people with the
Spirit to prophesy, dream dreams, and see visions. In this, the Spirit of
prophecy can function with the ascension ministry prophet, the gift of
prophecy, or as an anointing in which the special presence of the Lord chooses
to show up. Such would be confirmed in Zephaniah 3:17, 1st Chron.
25:1-3: 2nd Chron. 29:27
According to Acts 3:25, we are the children {offspring, and prodigy} of
the prophets. The so-called prophetic movement of the 80’s is really another
aspect of the prophetic message, which began long before this. For in each age
and span of time, God is indeed speaking to his people. Whether through
prophets Abraham, David, Elijah, Silas, John the beloved, or through the church
today, the prophetic message has been an active part of the life of God’s
people. Hebrews 1:1-2
{Please get a copy of our book, “The School or Sons of the Prophets,
volume one”}
Now, referencing again Joel 2:28, the prophetic anointing can enable
you to speak accurately the dream God is revealing to you, or the vision he is
speaking through you. For in Habakkuk 2:3, the vision speaks, and that word for
speak here is “to puff, to blow with the breath or air, to fan
{As a breeze}, to utter, to kindle {as a fire}, to scoff {blow upon},
etc.”
In principle, the vision will come to life. For in the context of
Habakkuk 2:3, puffs of breath and air symbolizes life. It may tarry for a
season, but know this, it will also speak in due season.
In another sense, a vision is a goal, a fulfilling of a dream, and the
realization of a plan put to action. Here, a vision is something fresh and new
each morning, an opportunity to seize and maximize the moment. A vision is a
different level of perception, from sight, foresight, to divine insight. It is
seeing things through the Father’s eyes. It can be a momentary flash of God’s
wisdom at times, and at others, a flood of wisdom and revelation knowledge. Ephesians
1:17
In the family there is vision, and in the home a goal, a plan of
action, and an allotted end. For everyone there is to be a sense of
accomplishment and objective, though the inspiration differs for each. Meaning,
one can have aspiration to play Basketball, or to perform with a world class
symphony orchestra. Another can have aspiration to be a doctor or an attorney.
But keep in mind, human aspiration is not the same as “Theopneustos,” or divine
inspiration. The inspiration of the Spirit is distinct here, although the Holy
Spirit can inspire you to be a productive citizen in society. Further meaning,
divine inspiration is not limited to church folks and church ministry.
You can be chiefly inspired by the Spirit to be a professional in
public and private sector. The Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father,
can illumine you in becoming the next U.S. president. Therefore, never assume
that the vision of the Spirit only quickens you for church settings. For as we
have stated before, all giftings, callings, purposes, and destinies are
positioned in the earth realm for a specific use and objective, not alone to
so-called church buildings.
As we continue
with Corporate Vision, bear in mind that the principles of vision are not
exclusive to the corporate anointing. Whether you are at home, in a local assembly,
or in transition, the principles of vision will help you to walk it out. So,
here are some vitally important truths…
1- Turn
your dreams into a vision. It’s time that you rise up and walk. Acts 3:1-10:
Pr. 29:18: Sam. 3:1:
2- Let
the vision speak: Obedience to God brings life and breath
to the vision God has given you. Hab. 2:3
3-
God will make every proverb cease which says
“The vision fails or is prolonged.” Ezekiel 12:23-28
70
Are we corporate in one
thing and a corpse in another?
Corporate vision has to do with what God is saying and doing in the
earth. Corporate vision can be traced back to the Elohim, the creative nature
of God at work. Out of the Elohim was man formed, charging him {male and
female} to execute the plan and purpose of God for planet earth.
The vision from the dateless past is a progressive vision. It is first
what God wants to bring to pass. It has nothing to do with being religious, or
churchy. Rather, it is the expressed image of what man has been purposed for, DOMINION!
The truth is God’s divine purpose for our life reveals His vision.
Vision is a product of what we are purposed for, and this is why so much
confusion abounds in the church today over vision. When many local elders
scream “Rebellion” over the assembly, it is not necessarily the people in
rebellion as it is with the leaders. Yes, many leaders speak out when it comes
to Di-vision or split vision. But the truth is, many leaders provoke the flock
with frustration and uneasiness due in part that they themselves are in direct
rebellion and diametric opposition with God.
O, I know a lot of leaders don’t want to hear this, but let truth be
known, that the scriptures state in Ephesians 6 for fathers not to provoke
their children to wrath. Meaning, we can discipline or correct out of context.
We can institute plans and ideas at the exclusion of God’s voice. We can come
up with a lot of activities to keep the interest of the people while drawing in
others. But the truth is, none of it was of the Lord in the first place. And this
is what I call a vain {empty} vision.
Elders, what are you putting into the local life of the church? Is
politics and games the driving force behind your ministry? Is the work full of
envy and strife, and everything not nice? What is your driving mechanism behind
the work you call “the Lord’s?” {Matthew 7:21-23}
When leaders of assemblies are out of order, this same disorganizing
spirit is transferred down to the rest of the assembly. I mean, things may look
good for a few years, but the Spirit of God is saying something else. On the
surface everything seems okay. The assembly is growing, the budget can now
budge, the seats are filled to capacity, but yet the Spirit of wisdom is
directing the Father’s attention to divine order. And beloved, divine order is
not church structure alone.
Let’s face it, certain creature comforts and great strides of personal
success appeals to many emotions. Many pastors would love to say how successful
they are by the growth and finance of their assemblies. I remember asking one
person how a dear pastor was doing, and their response was, “O, he’s doing
fine, he’s driving a new Jaguar!” That sounds great! I responded, but I really
wanted to know just how the man of God was doing! Not necessarily his stuff…
Personally, I would continue to enjoy life on another level through
enormous wealth. In fact, Theresa and me are positioned for multimillion-dollar
wealth resource. We stand to receive it in unprecedented amounts, not for our
benefit alone, but to advance the kingdom of God. If it were all about the
stuff Theresa and me wanted, that same so-called anointing would transfer on
down upon the people, having them giving to only get, without the becoming
aspect of Christ.
Personal success differs across the board. What may be one man’s
success becomes another man’s failure. Therefore, we need to return to the
Father’s heart for what the local church vision is for. In the process many
wonderful and surprisingly good things can happen, and that’s fine. But let’s
take a closer look at what Corporate Vision is, and is not!
71
Corporate Division
Now I beseech you brethren,
mark them which cause divisions {disunion, dissension, sedition} and offences
contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; avoid them. Romans 16:17
Now I beseech you brethren,
by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and
that there be no divisions {Gk. Schisma – schisms} among you…1st
Corinthians 1:10
For you are yet carnal: for
whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions
{Disunion, dissension,
sedition}, are you not carnal, and walk as men? 1st Cor. 3:3
For first of all, when you
come together therefore in the church, I hear that there be divisions
{Schisma – schisms} among
you…1st Corinthians 11:18
That there should be no
schism {Schisma} in the body; but that the members {limbs, ligaments} have the
same care one for another. 1st Corinthians 12:25
Over the years there has been a terrible fight between Charismatics
{Pentecostals, and other Spirit-filled camps} and Evangelicals {Baptists and
other such camps}. Another way of viewing them from their opponents eyes would
be the Dogmatic {Conservative, Evangelical, Fundamental – the Brains} and the
Charismatic {Tongue-talking ministries – the Brawn}.
Notice below the overall
aspects of these two main divisions from their opponent’s point of view

Charismatic {glossolia, divine healing,

The Anointing
Interestingly, both groups are full of denominations, independents,
bible colleges, and large assemblies. Both flood the airwaves each week with
millions of listeners and viewers. Both groups are seriously involved in
reaching the lost, and both groups seriously love the Lord. But both groups are
strongly opposed to each other in a number of ways, particularly in the area of
Pneumatology, the study of the Holy Spirit. Both groups are very sensitive to
the area of discussion concerning tongues, spiritual gifts, and the ascension
ministry of Ephesians 4:11
What we really see here is a
house that is divided against itself. Matthew 12:25-26
Occasionally, different groups from each camp will extend a warm
welcome to the other. From time to time pastors in the vicinity will come
together to pray, regardless of their differences. Now and then churches will
assemble to bridge the gap, bringing reconciliation one to another.
All of this fine and dandy, but there is a missing element here. Paul
the apostle states that the ascension ministries of Christ are given to perfect
the saints…until we all come into the unity of the faith. “THE FAITH” is not
Evangelical or Charismatic. “THE FAITH has nothing to do
72
with religious factions and warring sects. However, “THE FAITH” has all
to do with the Lord Jesus Christ. And the scriptures make it quite clear that
there is a coming forth into this unity. For the Corporate Vision was birthed
from the Elohim. God spoke to himself in plurality of nature and manifestation
to bring forth his new creation man. In this we see God himself in Corporate
Purpose, in harmony with all that he is. And beloved, when he sees the church
he sees us as one body, one man, one spirit, and one vision. He does not see
thousands of churches in one city with their own divided interest. Rather, he
sees one church in each locality with one progressive purpose and one progressive vision.
Therefore, something greater is going on in the corporate anointing.
Now, division is the focus of our discussion here. In present truth
terms, division is
DI-VISION, split vision. The word “division” carries other related
terms and meanings.
Divorce – {to turn different ways: legal and
formal dissolution: to dissolve marriage, disunion}
Divisible – {that which can be divided
without leaving a remainder, dividable}
Divisive – {causing divisions, causing
disagreements and dissension}
Divulsion – {to rend asunder, separation,
being torn apart: violent rending}
Now the “Di” prefix is used in a number of
other words including divest, divulge, diversion, and divergence.
But not in Christ! Why? For CHRIST IS NOT
DIVIDED! 1st Corinthians 1:13 Note below…
1 – Christ came in the doctrine or teaching
of the one that sent him. John 7:16. If his doctrine is not his own, why then,
do thousands of Christian sects fight to preserve their own doctrine?
If it were the doctrine of Him that sent
them, then why are we still divided over our diversity?
And why do we find esteem, value, and
ascribed worth in our divisiveness?
2 – If we are all to come into the unity of THE FAITH, then there is
but one faith. ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, and ONE BAPTISM. Ephesians 4:4-6, 13…There
is no Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Episcopal, Catholic, Seventh Day, or any
other tenet of faith but THE FAITH!
3 – In
Christ there is neither Circumcision {Denominational} or Uncircumcision
{Non-denominational} that avail to anything: but faith works by love Galatians
5:8: 6:16 {new creation}
4 – A double-minded {Greek - dipsuchos –
double soul {psuche}: two-spirited - vacillating} person is unstable
{inconstant} in all of his ways. James 1:8…Christ is not! Therefore, if you are
a part of a system that is - double-soul - {two-headed freak of nature}, your
ministry is not flowing out of the headship of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:15:
Colossians 2:10, 19…
For the kingdom of God is a stabilizing
influence of the Lord himself. Isaiah 33:6 says, “Wisdom and Knowledge shall be
the stability of our times. And Hebrews 12:27-28 speaks of an unshakable
kingdom, a kingdom that is not moved. So, if your pet doctrines, hierarchy, and
religious order can be removed, then it’s not the stability of the kingdom of
God.
5 – If it is not a part of the
life, blood, breath, and bone of the body of Christ, it is antichrist!

Kinds or characteristics of
Visions
There are a number of characteristics the
Scriptures hold concerning visions. References below…

Above are brief characteristics of a
vision. Some are good and others not good at all. It would be helpful that you
take some time and apply kingdom principles to each of these, defining the
original meaning of the words, and the contextual usage as well. Not
forgetting, the Holy Spirit will amplify the present truth within you, as you
will help others in a more powerful and passionate way.
On the next page we shall begin looking at
some scriptures concerning the open heavens, and after a while conclude with
the principles of a Progressive Vision.
I hope that this book is helping you in
new, deep, and fresher ways.
It is our heart to edify the body, even if
the language of this book ruffles you.

Open Heavens
Bethel
The principle of the open heavens is
connected to the principles of Corporate Vision. God not only wants to open the
heavens before and above you, but also to pour out the glory of the heavenly
realm into your life in the overflow. Whether it is tangible or intangible, the
open heavens are here to stay. Please enjoy this message as we recently taught
these present truths in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. They are taken from my
personal notes compiled over the years and compacted in study form just for
you. Blessings!
And he {Jacob} dreamed, and
behold a ladder {stairway} set up on the earth and the top of it reached to
heaven: and behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And Jacob
awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place, and I
knew it not. And he was afraid and said, How dreadful is this place! This is
none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven! Genesis 28:12,
16, 17 {Read verses 12-15 to hear what God was saying}
To begin with, the Lord had spoken a clear word concerning the
posterity of Jacob. Not only was he pronounced blessed in certain terms, but
also his seed. Jacob arose with a new outlook on where he had laid his head to
rest. The revelation was that he had been in Bethel, the house of God, and at
first he didn’t know it. Jacob experienced an open heaven while resting, and I
strongly believe that a lot of you have come to the same place, as did he.
Bethel or the house of God has been known to lose its reverential and
spiritual meaning when expressed by some. In other words, some people simply
call it Bethel, but lack understanding of the components of the name. Like many
who attend assemblies named Bethel Pentecostal or Bethel Deliverance, there is
a lack of appreciation for the El in Beth. For without the El, Beth is just a
house, a social club, or a place to hang out. But when we reverently
acknowledge the El in Bethel, something deep registers within us, something,
which may be reminiscent to Jacob.
Beloved, before there was church as usual, there was Bethel. Bethel is
the house of God and the gate of heaven. In prophetic language, Bethel is not
restricted to ecclesiatic settings such as “HAVING CHURCH!” {Whatever that
means}…But Bethel was an open heavens, an experience that Jacob alone had with
the Lord. Now if you think that every place we call church is Bethel, then
think again. Bethel is a realm, a place where God communed with Jacob. On the
other hand, Churchianity is a system of belief, an experience loved by many to
validate their own self.
Now, the gate of God is a new threshold and portal of God’s eternal
presence. It is where time stops and eternity continues. It is the glory of the
most holy place between the Cherubim. It is a new opening and dimension of
glory that has the ladder or stairway to assist you in getting there.
It is the place where Jacob turned his pillow into a pillar. Bethel is
the new name and nature of God’s dealings with Jacob, for at first it was the
Canaanite City of Luz. It was the place of worship through the tithe. All of
this was God’s house, the revelation that Jacob perceived.
Now beloved, Jacob did not know at first that the place he laid his
head was Bethel. If this principle can highlight a deeper point here, it would
ask the following question…
If Jacob finally realized
where he was, then when will we follow pursuit of the same?

Open Heavens: Referencing
scripture with kingdom principles
{1}
And God said, let the waters
bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly
above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. Genesis 1:20 {law of first
mention}
This is the law of first mention concerning the open heavens. Here, we
see the phrase,
“Fly above the earth in the
open…heaven.” For if birds can fly so can we, if we apply the principle of first the
natural then the spiritual, then there is a realm of flight from the outer
court to the most holy place. There is a realm of ascendancy with the Father
that requires us to fly above the earth. The earth here can be the lower realm,
or the lower nature. In order to ascend to the glorious realities of Mount
Zion, the pull of this world order, must…
1
– Be loosed on earth {from the weight of it} to be loosed in heaven – Matthew
16:19
2
– Set our affection {or mind} on things above, for we are risen with Christ –
Colossians 3:1-2
3
– See that like Christ, we are in heaven and on earth at the same time – John
3:13: 14:2-3
4
– Recognize where our source of life is, from above, and not from beneath –
John 8:23
Right now, start flying above the earth. Start flying above the
circumstances and pressures of life. Start flying above the earth or bill
collection. Start flying above the earth from the old life of four-footed
beasts and creeping things to a man made in the expressed image of the Elohim.

According to Deuteronomy 28:12, there are four notable benefits of the
Lord’s open treasure…
1 – The Lord shall open unto us his good treasure
2 – the heaven shall give us an abundance of rain in our season
3 – He will bless all of the work of our hands
4 – we shall lend unto many and not borrow
{3}
In 2 Kings 6:17 {verses 15-17 also}Elisha’s
servant began to push a lot of panic buttons by his overwhelming frustration of
the Syrian army. Elisha began comforting his servant, and prayed for the Lord
to open upon up the servant’s eyes. Well, he did. Also, the prophetic word of
the Lord came to pass as the Syrian soldiers were blinded and captured. For
there are more for us than those against us!
{4}
In Psalms 78:23-28, the Lord commanded the clouds above and opened the
doors {plural} of heaven. In verse 25, we receive meat to the full. Keep in
mind the plurality of the doors…
Right now, there are many of you that desire an open door of
opportunity, a new entrance of grace. On this day, we declare that the Lord has
the keys to the house of David, shutting what no one can open, and opening what
no one can shut…Revelation 3:7

Ezekiel 1:1 says, “The heavens were opened, and he saw the visions of
God.”
{6}
In Malachi 3:10, God gives us an open heavens in our giving of tithes
and offerings…
{7}
In Matthew 3:16-17, the heavens opened for Jesus, and it remained that
way. For one thing John the Baptist affirmed Jesus as the one. Unfortunately,
many run off without a witness of any kind. However, there are three important
considerations for the fullness of a valid ministry.

Matthew 17:1-5
Peter becomes a bit rash in desire towards making three tabernacles,
one for Moses, Elijah, and Jesus. What is noble about Peter though, is that he
desired to see the Feast of Tabernacles restored but before its time. That is
why the Father said, HEAR YOU HIM {Jesus Christ}…
{9}
In John 1:43-51, Nathaniel receives a word of knowledge from Jesus. He
chose to believe what Christ was saying, and the Lord confirmed that Nathaniel
would see even greater things. For Nathaniel, there was an open heaven. {angels
ascending and descending – Genesis 28:12-15}
{10}
Paul was an apostle of the open heavens. His ministry took him into
third heaven revelation. Persecution will come because of the dimension of
grace you are called to…2 Cor. 12:1-4
{11}
Heaven opened up for John in Revelation 4:1. John’s revelation was
simply the Revelation of Jesus Christ. No, it was not the blood to the horses
bridle, nor was it the antichrist. Rather, it was the Revelation of Jesus
Christ. Revelation 1:1 {He signified it – spoke in signs}: Ephesians 1:17
Revelation 11:19: the temple in heaven opened: 15:5: {Revelation of the

A Progressive Vision through
God’s Eternal Purpose
To the
church of the Lord Jesus Christ…
On the morrow, as they went
on their journey, and drew near unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop
to pray about the sixth hour {noontime}. And he became very hungry, and would
have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance. And saw heaven
opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet
knit at the four corners let down to the earth. Wherein were all manner of
four-footed beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a
voice to him, Rise, Peter, kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so Lord, for I
have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spoke unto
him again the second time, What God has cleansed that call not uncommon. This
was done three times; and the vessel was received back again into heaven. Acts
10:9-16
Peter seemed a little puzzled about his vision at first. So, God
settled into Peter that the vision was true. Now further on in the story of
Acts chapter Ten there is a Cornelius Connection made, where Peter meets
Cornelius for the first time. This didn’t happen by passing out business cards,
nor did Peter have to call up 100 major ministries to book a preaching date.
This connection came in part through the preparation of Peter’s heart through
the open heavens or open vision.
The open heavens are another way of getting the bigger picture than
ourselves. Peter was no doubt a little exclusive about the gospel among the
Jews, so the Holy Spirit prepared him to receive the three men looking for him.
I think that was wonderful, seeing how God had to deal a bit more with Jonah
through his Fish Motel…Smile…Peter may have had a pinch of reserve at the
moment, but he came around full circle to what the Holy Spirit was saying to
him
Now, the purpose for rendering the scripture text above is evidence
that the Holy Spirit is doing something profoundly wonderful among the nations
{including denominations}. For to minister reconciliation, restoration, and
reformation to other regions of the body of Christ, God may very well change
your perception of others in order for him to invade their limited mentalities.
Yes beloved, God the Father is bringing reconfiguration and reformation to the
church before we can see the full reward of the nations. And, when it comes to
denominations, non-denominations, and non-denominational denominations, there
is a sovereign work to be done here, too.
Though much was said earlier about the religious systems throughout the
earth, there is a groan from the throne and a release from the high priest to
call forth a people from every kindred, nation {denomination, inclination},
tribe, tongue, and people. We have not heard the whole story about the
sovereign move of God among the native Americans. We have not gotten the bigger
picture of the Ainu of Japan, the pygmies of South America, and the tribal
religionists of Central Africa. We have not gotten a hold of the wonderful plan
and redemption of God that reaches the highest mountains and the lowest valleys.
Nevertheless, we need to ascend into a higher sphere and frequency of the
Spirit and see the nations the way the Father is revealing them to us.
Ask of me, and I shall give you the
heathen for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your
possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron: you shall dash them in
pieces like a potter’s vessel. Psalms 2:8-9
The nations are in our reach! So are the denominations and
non-denominations!
78
The Lord of hosts has sworn,
saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have
purposed, so shall it stand. That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and
upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall the yoke be removed from off
them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. For this is the purpose
that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched
out upon all the nations. For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who shall
disannul it? And his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Isaiah
14:24-27
In the above passage we see the nature of God through a global and
progressive purpose. Here, God is bringing into a bold new day his plan of
redemption, which is not the Pentecostal and Fundamentalist view of salvation.
For with them {at large}, God’s going to get em, get, get, em!
But if you would hear the tone of such convictions, it would suggest
that all we really care for is to make it to heaven one day because we deserve
it. But, while we are in route to Beulah Land, take as many souls as you can
aboard the “Starship Big Surprise!” For that’s the summation of the whole
thing, to get souls saved before it’s too late! In this I see the obsession of “Got to have My Mansion!” Got to win those
souls today if I’m going to make it through those Pearly Gates!
Surely if we had taken on the very heart of the Father for the nations
at first, we would not present ourselves as desperate, nor would be frustrate
others with our own frustrations.
But, by looking again at Isaiah 14:24-26, God’s plan will not cease,
nor can it be changed contrary to the popular and widely held believes of
church people. For with many, God has to keep changing his plans over and over
again, as if Adam’s sin was something of a surprise. But beloved, though we teach
that plans may sometimes change with us, remember this, God’s purpose does not.
And to be honest with you, his plans don’t change either.
Again, our plans may change, but not his! He’s doing exactly what he
said he would do!
With this understanding clearly defined, we can relinquish the
frustrating attempts to do this thing in the strength and might of our
religious organization. We can stop reaching the world through our doctrine,
and come into governmental order with the doctrine God gave to his Son. That
doctrine will lead us to demonstration. And this demonstration will lead us to
divine destiny.
Concerning Isaiah 14:24-26
{below}
The word “Purpose” in verse 26 is defined from the Hebrew word “plan.”
This supports the present truth principle that God has a plan of action that
won’t stop because of one’s dispensation mathematics. For if we want to
hurriedly get the hell out of here, then good bye, and have a safe trip. For
God simply said that he has planned this thing from the start, to harvest the
nations under the Lordship of his Son. For Colossians chapter One declares he
created all things for him and by him and that by him all things consists. He
is before all things and is the head of all things
So beloved, when you get into a hurry to do what God is not doing, then
you are not walking in the rest of God. If you are always on the edge of your
seat {or, the edge of night}, trying to save the world through your organized
efforts, you are not flowing out of the river of God. If you are steadily pacing
the floor each day trying to figure out how the world can get saved by the end
of the year, then you are not hearing from the Father. If he said he would
bring the nations into the place of his glorious purpose, then by his power and
design let him do it. If he has a massive and unstoppable plan for redeeming
the nations, then let God be true and everything else a lie!
79
When
the word “Purposed” is used in verses 24-26, it is defined as “deliberate and
determine.” Meaning, God has counseled with himself on the matter and is
determined to see it come to pass.
Whether
the progressive vision is seen local or international, God’s counsel stands,
and he will do all of his pleasure. Isaiah 46:10-11
The Vision Continues…
Every local church called by the Lord has the potential of conveying
HIS VISION. When we think of visions, we easily assume that the vision is about
souls, bible classes, a new facility, or becoming seeker friendly. What a lot
of leaders don’t know is, that their vision is born out of what God has
purposed them for in that region. It is a progressive vision, which extends
from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and into the Uttermost parts of the earth. For
the earth is the Lord’s!
Meaning, the vision did not begin alone in the quiet den of the
pioneering senior elder. It began long ago when the Father stated his objective
and plan of action for the church’s destiny.
Your vision is first to be God’s vision, what he expects of you from
the start. So it would be very helpful to return to the Lord before his favor
and desire of him his desire! Note below…
My Beloved is mine, and I am
his: he feeds among the lilies. Song of Solomon 2:16
This is the 30-fold outer court
dimension of the believer, for we say that God is all ours, period.
I am my Beloved’s and my
beloved is mine: he feeds among the lilies. Song of Solomon 6:3
This is the 60-fold holy place
dimension. We appear half right because we say we are his.
I am my Beloved’s and his
desire is toward me. Song of Solomon 7:10
This is the 100-fold dimension of the most
holy place. For here, we are all his all of the time.
Until the vision become his, it will remain simply ours. Until we
relinquish control over the vision {My vision, God gave it to me! If you don’t
like it then get out!} It becomes vain and empty, lacking the substance of the
Spirit to bring it to pass.
Even in the home there must be a vision for the household. Husbands you
are the house-bands and wives, you are the weavers. If there is no house-band
or weaving the vision seems to perish.
As every man is to have a Lamb in his house, so is there to be a divine
drive with continuous momentum in the Spirit and in the natural. There must be
a clear definite objective for the goals you establish according to the vision
and purpose thereof. In all respect, unless you both {a} leave, and {b} cleave,
you will not {weave}…Genesis 1:24
Beloved, corporate purpose is to be found in the home, the church, and
in society. In all of these three main spheres of activity, God is giving us
the bigger picture. This means that God has but one vision and purpose for the
home, the church, and planet earth, not 50/11…This also confirms that there is
no such thing as a bunch of separated visions in the local church, but one. If
the Lord appoints you at the assembly, it is still one progressively unfolding
vision – not division!
80
This also means that the vision for your personal life, home, and local
assembly is but one vision, and one divine purpose. I know this sounds
uncomfortable for some to hear this, but if the Lord appointed you to the place
of his choosing, and the place where his name is, it is all one progressive
vision. If you are given a business plan while being a part of that local
assembly, if God placed you there as it pleases him, then it is still one
progressive unfolding vision & purpose.
But you shall receive power,
after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me
{not for me} both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and the
uttermost parts of the earth. {For the earth is the Lord’s} Acts 1:8
The Scripture here reveals present truth of a progressive vision. From
the throne room perspective {Isaiah 37:16: Exodus 25:22}, God sees one vision
for the whole of creation through the interlocking of his progressive purpose.
Whether the vision for the church is in Canada or far away in the icy lands of
Antarctica, God is doing but one main thing consistent in character.
This means that Denominational, Non-denominational, Non-denominational
denominational, and inter-denominational must return to base zero, for a zero is a number that
you can see clearly through. God’s eternal purpose is to bring the desire of
the nations into his plan and purpose, not as the Tower of Babel and all of its
illustrious appeal. Although Babel carries the suffix “El,” it is not the house
of God {Bethel}. It may look like God, sound like God, or appear to taste like
God. But the truth is, Babel is the exclusive position of most religious orders
that remain a sect to them.
Vision, continues…
Perhaps you
feel that the vision for your home or local church has not been given a fresh
new start. Or, perhaps you have been laboring long, year after year, and have
not seen the fruit of your labor come to pass. Well, here’s good news!
Habakkuk 2:3 says that the vision is for an appointed time {Amos 3:3},
but at the end it shall speak {fully come alive in the fulfillment of its
divine purpose… {Ecclesiastes 3:1}
It also says that it shall not lie {Hebrews 6:18}, though the vision tarries.
So, wait for it, for when it comes {into manifestation, tangibility, and
substance} it will not tarry anymore. {Jeremiah 1:12}
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalms 27:14
Truth is, if God has given you a corporate vision, many may experience
at times the following…
A – EN-VISION – To imagine something not yet
in existence – Hebrews 11:1….
B – PRO-VISION – Where there’s vision there
is provision – Genesis 12-22……
C – Di-VISION – Split vision: Exodus 8:22: 1st
Corinthians 11:19: Heb. 4:12…….
D – RE-VISION – The process of revising –
{re – again}, vision again: Phil. 4:13.
E – SUPER-VISION – Through the Lord it will
be well-managed: Ephesians 4:11
81
Progressive and Corporate Vision,
continues…
Visions are born of the Spirit, given by God, and established over a
period of time.
For many, frustration sets in for the fulfillment thereof. During this
time, a lot of devices are formed to keep you distracted from the purpose for what
you have been given for. At times the pressure may seem to increase to complete
what has been started, or to start all over again.
In Joel 2:28, the Spirit of the Lord pours out visions. Like anything
that is of God, there will be a test, which leads to a testimony. James 1:2-4:
Revelation 12:10-11: Isaiah 28:16
In the developing of a corporate vision, there are three things liken
to the nature of a seed.
1 – the birth of a vision – the birth of the seed – generation {Wow! God sure is
moving!}
2 – the death of a vision – the corn {seed} of wheat dies – degeneration {Why did God
forsake me?}
3 – the fulfillment of the vision – the fruit of the seed – regeneration {Resurrection life
again}
In the process of development, the Tobias’ and Sanballat’s challenge
the vision. Note below…
1 – Birth of the vision – Habakkuk 2:1-3;
Ezekiel 12:28: Your vision is a revelation of destiny…
2 – Curse of a vision – You lose sight,
focus, and priority of the vision that God has given you.
3 – Nursing the curse – Giving audience to
the lie told that the vision would not come to pass.
4 – Rehearsing the curse – Give power to the
image to speak, confessing the lie: Rev. 13:15.
5 – Dispersing the curse – Telling anyone
that the vision is not of the Lord: Ezekiel 12:22-28.
6 – Reversing the curse: Verbal blessings
overcome verbal curses: Rom. 4:17: Dt. 28:1-14...
7 – Rebirth of the
Vision of God: You’re moving ahead with progressive spiritual momentum
Concerning vision, many of us have seemingly missed it in some area or
another. If we had veered off the track before, or are now wandering aimlessly
for some kind of direction, take courage. For a corporate vision may appear
darkly at first. You may have begun groping in the dark, or waiting for some
deluge of heavenly happenings to appear. But the truth is, if you never could
say that at any time there was ever a test for your testimony, I would be very
concerned.
One thing is for certain, the enemy attempts to bring condemnation to
God’s people for missing it. His nature is to oppress, suppress, vex, and
confuse. But then, God has an interesting way of getting our attention, too.
For if he did not appear to have sent it, he can sure us it! Is. 45:7
More importantly, God the Father is the “DONE DEAL” when it comes to
delivering his people. Though the vision tarries, wait on the Lord, for that is
where the vision came from at first. He may not be so inclined to take you out
of every pressure as he can take you through it. So rest assure God is at work
in you to bring about his expected end. Jeremiah 29:11: Philippians 2:13
